Matthew Roberts

Matthew Roberts is a Managing Partner and Investment Advisor of Monarch Capital Advisors, LLC. In this role, he offers access to a full range of comprehensive financial services including strategic and tactical portfolio construction, alternative asset management, tax mitigation strategies as well as retirement and estate planning.

With 25 years of experience in wealth management, spanning all types of market conditions, Matthew takes a goals-based approach to relationship and asset management, seeking to manage risk in the context of each client’s overall financial goals. Whether you’re an individual, corporation, or trust, Matthew will dedicate the time needed to help us do all we can at Monarch Capital Advisors to build trust, manage and grow wealth, and preserve the legacy you envision for yourself and family.

Prior to forming Monarch Capital Advisors, LLC in 2022, Matthew spent 20+ years working in all areas of Wealth Management. Matthew was a financial advisor and Sr. Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors for 11 years. He has been in the financial services industry since 2001, all those years were with Wells Fargo Bank where he worked as a Private Bank Wealth Banker, Commercial Lending, and Investment Advisory.

Matthew graduated from The University of West Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2002. Following 7 years of industry experience, he decided to go back to school. In 2011, Matthew earned his MBA, with a concentration in Investment Finance, from J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Matthew and his family reside in Sandy Springs, and he is the proud husband of Catherine. They have two wonderful children, Sloan and Miles. Proud to be from the Atlanta area, which is rare to find these days, Matthew has a large family based locally. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, along with his parents, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews. He gives his time and efforts supporting the Atlanta community with leadership roles in several faith-based recovery ministries. When he has spare time, he likes playing golf with family and friends, where he is a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club.
